Product Description This unique biodegradable super alkaline battery answers the question of what happens after you discard the used battery. Simple, it breaks down naturally in the landfill. From each battery's environmental production facility manufactured beginning to its biodegradable finish, this eco respectful battery was built to make you feel better about your disposable battery usage. Fuji super alkaline batteries are designed to be the longest lasting alkalines, with the longest shelf life and reverse current protection. Unlike regular alkaline batteries the biodegradable casing of each battery is landfill safe and has no heavy metal or toxins that are left in the environment after it is gone. | Customer Reviews: AVOID THIS COMPANY November 27, 2009 A. Maynard (San Diego, CA United States) 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
Pretending your product is "green" does not make it green. Fuji damaged its public relations image here. Be warned! This is not a green product. If you are forced to use a regular battery because a rechargeable doesn't work for the situation (some electronics can't use rechargeable batteries), then you're best to buy a generic battery at a local market for value and lower transportation emissions will make it a more "green" choice.
The practice of deceiving customers to think they are doing something environmentally helpful is called GREENWASHING. I recommend avoiding all companies that use this business practice.
About as green as a plastic bag. November 15, 2009 JRo (michigan) 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
You need to do your research before really believing that a product is truly "green". It is true that they don't contain any of the harmful chemicals that traditional batteries do and it is true that they will degrade over time but did you know that time limit is 1000 years? This is the same amount of time that it takes for a plastic bag to degrade. So is this truly a green product ? I agree it's moving in the right direction but the advertising makes them seem like they are the best then since the canvas bag and that is misleading. So before you purchase a product that claims to be friendlily do a bit of research and find out just how green they really are because technically turquoise is a shade of green.
Go green with Fuji Enviro Max April 23, 2009 Jo Ann Galla (San Diego,CA USA) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
I am very excited to have these new "green" batteries! I have been hearing about them from a trusted friend for monthes and have just install them in my flash light and feel confident with their longer shelf life and tighter seal that my flashlight will be working when I have an emergency. All this and safe for the enviroment! Now if we could get parents to use cloth diapers we might save the planet!
