 Great Little Globe For The Money May 14, 2010

I was looking for a globe of more modest proportions and this globe is just the right size for my application. Reviews of other globes this size from different sellers indicate some globes have oceans that are navy blue. That is not the case with this globe, the oceans are light blue just like the picture.

I have to agree with some other reviews that this globe may not be the most sturdy ever made, but for what it costs vs. what you get it is excellent. Do not be put off by people who say it falls apart. We found it more than durable and did not have any problems with it at all. If you are looking for an illuminated globe that is not expensive, this might be the way for you to go.

Absolutely not worth the cost! It is so small we can't decipher the countries and other geographical features, so it is useless to our grandchildren. We wasted our money on this item.

Although the globes are easy to "read" in terms of detail I was very disappointed in their size. I had assumed they would be larger but instead their diameter is about 5 inches. Be careful of size if you're ordering this product.

The globe was a present for my nephew. I had it shipped to him. I was a little disappointed when my sister told me that it was small enough to fit into his backpack and that they really had to squint to see all the locations on it. I'll have to go and get him another one, larger this time. Probably best for decoration on a desk but not necessarily for a child who needs to study.
