Product Description This new Lamaze Play and Grow Moose comes complete with multiple textures and sounds to keep baby entertained, plus teether antlers. As with all Play and Grow items, the moose comes complete with a Lamaze link, making it easy to take along with you!
Amazon.com Product Description Mortimer the Moose will keep baby amused for hours with his many colors, textures, and sounds. His antlers are teethers, his feet are colorfully patterned and make a variety of sounds, and he chimes when you pick him up. From birth on up, Mortimer is a cute toy that will hold your baby's attention. Cuddly, Stimulating Fun Even for the Youngest Baby The Lamaze Mortimer the Moose is part teddy bear--his body is soft and cuddly--and part teether--his antlers are a soft, sturdy rubber that's perfect for chewing. His tail is made of two rubber rings, ideal for baby hands to hang onto. His hooves are multicolored and festively patterned, which attracts baby's eyes. When your little one grabs the bright colors, the sounds the hooves make will produce even more delighted giggles! Morti's Good to Go The Lamaze link on his back makes it easy to take baby's favorite moose along, and you can hang the toy over a crib, car seat, or play mat. Your baby can enjoy the chimes, squeaks, rattles, and crunches anywhere you go. This well-built moose will stand up to the most enthusiastic play. Mortimer measures 11.5 x 5.3 x 2.8 (LxHxW) inches and comes with a 90-day limited warranty. A great variety of textures and feels for your little one July 19, 2010 Dennis Healy (Burlington, VT) We renamed Mortimer the Moose to Bruce the Moose shortly after buying him, just because we felt the name fitted him better ;)
We have a couple of the Lamaze toys and Bruce has been the favorite with our son. From a young age, he was intrigued by the different colors, shapes and textures, and the clip means it can travel from the play mat to the car to the stroller.
He's not a snuggly toy, but Bruce does encourage touch and play from an early age. As a Dad with little toy knowledge until now, Bruce is a must have.
Good product but my baby wasn't interested July 18, 2010 maher altayyara (beirut, Lebanon) I bought 4 Lamaze toys based on their 5 stars reviews, Buzz the Bug, Freddie the Firefly, Mortimer the Moose, and Jacques the Peacock. They are all beautiful and good quality and all have teething rings, squeakers, crinkles, and rattles. BUT to be honest Jacques the Peacock beats them all so easily, my baby only cares about jack. When she was born I show her the High contrast Black and White dots on jack's wings, and she was so mesmerized for several minutes.. While I agree that all Lamaze baby products are good and worth buying, but I think 1 or 2 is enough.
Ozzy loves his "Marty Moose" July 11, 2010 Ozzy's Mommy <3 When my baby was born this was the first toy I introduced to him. When he was about 3 months old he started to really love his "Marty" (We nicknamed it.) Now at 5 months, it's his buddy. He carries it around when we go from one room to another. Marty's jingly bells, and squeaker helped distract him during his 4 month vaccinations. Marty keeps him entertained in the car, and he loves chewing on Martys ears, and rings. I think that this is going to be his buddy for a long time. I think I might get the peacock too, just to see how he likes that one since he loves this one so much.
Mortimer the Moose June 4, 2010 P.Patel I purchased both Mortimer the Moose and Lamaze Freddie the Firefly before my son was born. The moose is quite soft, cuddly and just the right size for my son to hold and play with. He loves looking at and chewing on Mortimer's colorful hooves (the hooves crinkle and chime when squeezed). The teether antlers are large and made of a soft rubber gentle enough for delicate gums. We always take Mortimer with us on long road trips, it will occupy and entertain my son when he becomes fussy in his car seat. Buy Mortimer the Moose, your child will love it too!
Mortimer is Perfect! June 3, 2010 Patricia Ann Bosworth 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
When my grandson was three months old, my daughter said he had really started to be aware of some of his "toys." Time to do some shopping! I read the reviews and description of Mortimer the Moose and purchased TWO; we have another baby in our circle due soon, need to "stock up." Mortimer and his twin arrived and I couldn't have been more pleased. Mortimer's bright colors, varied textures and lovability were just perfect! I wanted to keep him, but I sent him off to his new caregiver. And Parker is thrilled! I'm looking at a picture of him right now on my computer monitor desktop, he has a death grip on one of Mortimer's ears and half of Mortimer's face in his mouth! This is a perfect gift for 3+ months, an age that can be challenging to "shop for." Mortimer is well constructed and has lots of features to capture the attention of a baby starting to become aware of things around him/her. I have also purchased Jacques the Peacock and can't wait to send him off to Parker, to add to the menagerie! I highly recommend this product.
